i need educated people's opinions and thought this would be the best place to look for them.
i'm curious what people think about song titles, and album titles for that matter. a lot of bands are coming out with ridiculous song names like "the ballad of tommy clayton and the rawdawg millionaire", "don't eat the apple this time", and "jaunt". those are just a few of my favorites. i like how the scene is going this way as bands try and catch people's attention.
i feel like one/two word titles come across as simply trying to hard to suggest that oneself is epic. while in the cases of the albums "Colors" and "Numbers" i think those bands carry through. what's everyone else's opinion? i can see how someone could see this the other way around but i just feel like one word alone tends to capture to vague of an emotion for me to grasp or care about.
or does size not matter?
