Teenage Bottlerocket's new album is kinda weak compared to past albums, sort of a bummer same goes for the new Banner Pilot.

I'll check out that Riverdales release. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on Teenage Bottle Rocket (which is still one of my favorite and most played bands other then The Lillingtons , Against Me (older shit) and The Copyrights. I just found the new Teenage Bottle Rocket release sounding rushed and lacking energy. Almost as if Fat Mike forced them into the studio and said write a new album. Jerry and myself listened to it on the way to practice and came to the same conclusion,so I know Im not crazy. The skateboard song is just plain out cheese balls. BTW have you checked out Toys That Kill? It's like FYP gained some real skills and started a real band.

I'm surprised to see Emery's new CD on two peoples lists. Maybe I just need to listen more. I thought the EP prior to this album was killer, and I thought the album before that was probably their best since the first full length. But I'm having a hard time really loving the new disc.

i think the song structure in the new cd is a lot tighter, and in my opinion, theres just more emotion and honesty. i've never rele been a huge fan of them lyrically but i think they've improved on this cd. doesn't quite have the same high energy, upbeat-ness of The Question, but im a fan.

i agree with both of you guys. nothing can compare to The Question. or their first album. but their new material is killer. anything is better than Im Only A Man. probably their worst album ever. yes the lyrics get kinda emo, but oh well. seeing them live makes up for the sad lyrics haha. they have the best harmonies ive heard in a long time. not sure how i feel about the brand new cd "daisy" . i worked their show at the arena and it was alright. other than the echo chamber that the venue is...
